May Madness

It's been a busy month on the Craft front! I am totally exhausted, but have been loving it all the same. Sewjourn, last weekend was FANTASTIC.
I got to play with the Cover Stitch Machine, and now of course I want one!
We sewed non stop all weekend - the odd break of course, for the Farmers Market, and we were in charge of one meal each for the weekend, but other than that,
it was serious sewing time. Between 8 of us, we had 15 machines in total, which we thought was a pretty good record.
These 2 Around the Block gals, got me revved up for my month in June, and now I have piles of fabric all over the sewing room floor, getting ready for my big mail out.
Thanks Lara and Rachael.

These are 2 of the projects I was working on at Sewjourn.
. . . and a new winter skirt for work
This is Rachael's beautiful pin cushion. Thanks for a great weekend girls, and I'm hoping for a quiet few weeks - wouldn't you know it, Report Writing time has hit, so obviously I'm looking for every excuse not to start writing.
I'm planning between 2 and 4 tomorrow!

So much lovely goodness
. . . and heaps of fun
. . . and when I got home, exhausted and worn out from talking and laughing . . .
I checked out my favourite quilting blog, and just couldn't resist having a go

Camera Maintenance

I've had some trouble with my little camera since my trip to the beach. I took heaps of photos of all my salvias, and this 9 patch on the line, but they all disappeared and my camera has been in the sick bay ever since. Thankfully a new card in the camera has put me back in the game and it's working again!! Phew! However, the photo now, is of the quilt "in situ" on the bed all crumpled up and well in use. I started it a Sewjourn about a year ago, and we're going again in a couple of weeks, so it took me about a year to complete, but I'm happy with the result.
This is a new quilt in the making for my special neighbour. She does the seam pressing and I do the sewing, and a lot of talking in between times. Sometimes she even does my dishes which is a pretty good deal, I think!
. . . and just so excited to welcome Amanda Jean back!
She has inspired me already, via Anita at Bloomin' Workshop . . .
I think I will use them in a baby quilt for a school friend who is expecting her first.
