I can sing a rainbow . . .

I've been working on this quilt in the evenings, handquilting . . .

I've found it very relaxing and rewarding . . .

I started this quilt about 2 years ago, just joining up the scraps I had lying about, then it found it's way into the UFO pile.

I made another quilt very similar to this, and then started another just like it.  Somehow, this one always seemed like the "poor cousin"

Then one day, I "just decided" I would quilt it by hand, add that "loving feeling" and give it some life.

It sure has worked.  Each time I quilted and handled it, it bacame softer and softer.  The stitching gave it personality - and now I love it.

Tonight I'm putting on bright pink binding, to match the back.
I love QUILTS!

In spite of the weather . . . or because of ???

This tree never ceases to amaze me, year after year

My tree dahlia this year is the best it has ever been. Towers over the house and has not been hit by wind or frost.  A FIRST!

Snails - can you help?

I've had a go at Snails - but really want to get it right with foundation piecing - but not conquered yet!

These were some quilts from my weekend with the Quilters, that impressed me.

I'm so excited that my sister has tried some quilting.
If you have time, could you pop over to her blog and give her some encouragement.  I'd love her to catch the "quilting bug!"

It takes a Workshop to build a Village

This weekend I attended a great Workshop to learn how to build little houses.  I've never done foundation piecing before, and I found the precision work very difficult.

These were my creations after the weekend.  I think this will take a little practise.

This was our view from the workshop which was very fitting.

When we all pooled ours together, it resembled a village.

Kerry Gadd is ONE CLEVER LADY.
I was pleased to try something new and challenge myself.

I'll sleep tight tonight!

Friendship Block

Just finished this Friendship Block for someone in my new Quilting Group
I think her quilt is going to be lovely!
You can see another one here.

Now back to my bag making adventure - 2nd attempt at the quilting as you go method

. . . and I've had this pattern from Bloom for absolutely ages, and really wanted to make it.  I had to adjust it a bit to fit with my quilting table on, and I still have to stitch, but it's in use and I love it.

Love the rain for some sewing to get done . . . nothing like it!

From the bottom of the pile

An old quilt top from the bottom of the pile of UFO's - finally pinned and now being quilted.  Love a bit of quilting on a cold night with T.V.
