Hand Dyed Quilt


Been working on "secret project" most of the day, but did have a rest and watch a DVD with Master Flowergarden and did a little bit of hand quilting. As promised, I snapped some pics. I'm using lovely varigated thread.I find the hand quilting very relaxing and rewarding ...I guess there is no surprise that it has flowers on it. I like them so much. I went for a walk around my garden this afternoon, and thought I would struggle to find any beauties, but look what I found.

There always seems to be something out there, even though I've been focusing on sewing lately.

  8. The hand dyed colors are fabulous. I love the way that you arranged the colors and applied the flowers too. Very pretty.

    The walk in the garden proved to be quite colorful. Isn't it fun to spot such glory?

  10. That quilt reminds me a little of the one I posted this week, you got to love some hand dyeds!
    The bags look great, are those the same labels jellywares got? I haven't gotten around to ordering yet and I am all out, think I better head over there!

  16. I've been away and trying to catch up on missed blogs is daunting. I love the quilt it is so colourful. I love your new labels I will have to investigate. I hope your sisters recovery is quick I gather she lives in SA to have been in the RAH. My hasn't chick chick grown in to a very beautiful chook chook.
