I can never throw these little spools away - silly I know but I'm sure I will find a use for them one day. Until then, they are a good indication that I've been doing a lot of sewing.

Look what my lovely friend
Ric Rac gave me for my birthday - yes a selvedge mini quilt. I was very excited to receive it - she is such a "clever clogs"

I've had a weekend with another dear friend and her daughter and have been making some Melly and Me kitty cats. Lots of fun.

Lots of fav "winter" flowers in the garden, which keeps me happy happy happy. oh, and I'm in the process of maing a new little sewing bag, but instructions are not my thing - so it's been a slow process. I will show you when it's done.

ReplyDeleteHia Annie, I do like the fabrics you've chosen for your new sewing bag. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou could always use your bobbins as doll legs -glue stripey or whatever fabric you like around them and thread them to the body. Feet can be added and sewn on the thread. I made one shelf sitter character in this way and added beads to the knee area. I can't wait to see what you coe up with. :-)
Love the selvedge quilt!!! I have a pile of selvedges but have yet to use them. SAving them for the ultimate project, I guess.
