I had a go . . .

I got this crazed idea that I could make a new wallet. I searched for tutorials and had a go at this one. Don't even remember where it came from. Instructions were OK, but I just didn't really like the finished product. Then I went searching for more patterns. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so found an old wallet in the cupboard and thought I would try and make it up. I guess that's where I started going wrong. From a distance it doesn't look too bad . . .
. . . but up close, it was looking VERY homemade and ordinary. I was disappointed as I just loved the flower fabric - but I had a goSo then I needed a dose of success, so off I went and baked more of these yummy felted cakes.. . . and a little sneak peak at the bag I'm making for Linda's Bag/Bucket swap

  1. Good on you, Annie, for having a go! I do like the flower fabric too. The felted cupcakes look great. I have finished my bag/bucket for the swap - it turned out well - I hope she likes it. It's a bit nerve racking because it's my first swap!. I can't wait to see what yours looks like finished! Kathryn.

  5. Great cupcakes! Love the fabrics you used on the wallets - the first one especially! On the flower wallet you could consider topstitching the bias binding so that it sits a bit flatter.

  13. Well I think the wallets turned out really well-they look very tricky to make. Your cupcakes are scrumptious and that bucket bag will make someone very happy.
