This is Heather
Yesterday I took Master Flowergarden for a haircut, and came home with 4 new chickens.
Aren't they beautiful!
My other 3 chickens didn't think so, and there was lots of squawking and eyeing off and some peck peck pecking
. . . and for some sewing, I've had this project waiting for some action for some time now. I just loved the japanese fabric when I saw it and HAD to have some.
It was so nice as it was, I have simply made it into a table runner, adding a small boarder and some binding.
Of course Nelly insists on sitting right on top of what ever I am doing!
(I think she's beautiful too!)
I love chooks - another member of the family would freak if I suggested them on our suburban lot! How great is that table runner! Your pics are so lovely - do you have Photoshop?

ReplyDeleteThe table runner is beautiful but your curtains are gorgeous, did you make them?
ReplyDeleteYour new chickens are quite lovely. And yes, I think chickens can be lovely. :) I like that fabric, too! It really did make a pretty table runner. What is it with cats? They just insist on being right in the middle of whatever you're doing.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you posted about your chooks. I was thinking you didn't have them any more. They are so pretty.
ReplyDeletePatsy
I just read your comment. That is a bird feeder with sunflower seeds in it.( Funny) what would I do with all of those flies if it was a fly trap. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh well done on the hens. They are pretty. :-) I'm sure they will sort out the pecking order (sorry pun intended!LOL) in no time. Going out for a hair cut and coming back with hens sounds like a tale waiting to be told.
ReplyDeletePretty table runner.
Is there some sort of link between Mr Flowergardens hair and chooks. LOL How is cluck cluck going? I have that lovely photo of yours of the chickens bottom on my pin board in my sewing room I love it. Love the table runner.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't want to be getting his hair cut too often! Your table runner is beautiful Annie.
ReplyDeleteOh I love chooks, the more the merrier! Our local chook man told me to put the new birds in at night, apparantly this makes for a better 'getting to know you' phase. Hope you get lots and lots of eggs xo
ReplyDeleteThe table runner is very nice... the colors are great! You know, I think it's just "pets" in general... our golden retriever would be right there in the middle of things too if she could get up onto the cutting table! LoL... aren't they great company!
ReplyDeleteChickens are great aren't they? good luck with the newbies!
Your tablerunner is amazing - I love the Japanese fabrics.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table runner! And kitty approved -- can't beat that seal of approval!
