It takes a Workshop to build a Village


This weekend I attended a great Workshop to learn how to build little houses.  I've never done foundation piecing before, and I found the precision work very difficult.
 

These were my creations after the weekend.  I think this will take a little practise.
 

This was our view from the workshop which was very fitting.
 

When we all pooled ours together, it resembled a village.

Kerry Gadd is ONE CLEVER LADY. 
I was pleased to try something new and challenge myself.

    You will have to keep building little houses....don't they look great all together. Always good to learn a new technique.

    Houses are so delightful and fun to make. Once you get used to the paper piecing, I think you will really like it. I convert every pattern I use to paper piecing if at all possible. It makes everything to sharp and precise.

    It is hard to slow down for intricate work. Those houses remind me of that collage trask I did with the primary students. Cutting and pasting paper, much easier. They look great all together.

    All the little houses look so cute. I have only tried this method a couple of times. It is very brain intensive.
