Colour

I just can't help it - I just LOVE all the scraps
and the colours they make when playing together.
It makes me happy to see it, and make it
This one has been kicking around for ages . . .
pinned onto my curtain . . . I got it down to play with tonight, and then pinned it up again with a few more bits added.
I'll play again at the weekend.
Back to work tomorrow!

Just so many BEAUTIFUL things

. . . oh, and I'm making sawdust paths out the front.  No more lawn to mow out there and more room to plant!  That's the way I like it!!
Thanks for the idea "sis"

Back to School

My wonderful holidays have come to an end, and it was back to school today.
I did so enjoy all the gardening that happened these holidays.
All the sunshine and flowers . . .
. . . and the "tulip festival" of sorts
I think next year I may have more of a Tulip Festival as the bulbs multiply -
Look out for that!

Quilts In the Barn

Lots of lovely Red and White Quilts to admire.  I especially liked the mini ones.
They even had red pansies on the tables for our Cup of Tea
A lovely day out!

I love looking at all the interesting things and all the interesting people.
I really went to Melbourne to see the Red and White Quilts.

5 years waiting . . .

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting some more for this Clivia to flower.
It's looked healthy each year but no flowers
and finally . . .
3 bud stems and they are STUNNING
So much pleasure I am getting from seeing them every day.

This is my very special renunculas that was so beautiful last year with just one special bud.
This year there are a dozen!
And this is what I've been doing the last couple of days.
Garden Extensions!
One of my favourite pass times.
Excited to see the first Banksia Rose - buds EVERYWHERE
Oh, and did I mention I had a fight with a shovel???
I was digging in the compost, and hit a stick.  The handle swung back and hit me in the face
OUCH!
Off to Melbourne tomorrow to see a Red and White Quilt Show.

Around the Block

Up late again last night and this morning another finish on the line
About 3 years ago I was in the Around the Block quilt swap, where we all made blocks for each other.  My theme was circles.  I still have all the warm colours to make another one, but at least the first one is now officially finished.  It was tricky putting it all together, but the hard work was already done.  I just had to FINISH IT!   Don't worry, I will be back to school next week and the UFO pile will breathe a sigh of relief from the crazy posessed woman who keeps diving into it!

My Crabapple Trees are blooming and are just glorious in the sunshine.  I had a lovely afternoon in the garden today.  Another perfect day with sunshine and singing canaries!
I made this sneaky little pincushion - saw something similar on one of the Blogtober Blogs (cant remember which one) FOUND IT and modified with what I had lying around my sewing room.  A little bit of gardeining in the sewing room.

Song in my heart

There's been a song in my heart all day.
I've been GARDENING!
The sun has been shining, and the canaries are singing.
It's the most wonderful hobby passion to have!
