Bloggy Love

I've been transfixed by this magnificent echium - just had to show you again.
. . . and what a lovely Bloggy weekend I am having.  FIrst of all a lovely long talk to Chooky Blue before even getting out of bed this morning.  We've only ever met once, but it feels like we have been old friends for years.  Very excited to be meeting up again in Sydney in August.  (and I've just found out that Daisy Chain is also going to be there and I've never met her, but feel she is my kindred spirit, so I am very excited about that) - well, then after a spot of weeding - all this rain has made them grow furiously - I went off to meet Ric Rac for a coffee at our favourite meeting place.
. . . after that we just HAD to go to Ballarat Patchwork to catch up with Emma and well, buy just a little bit of fabric.  Well, I DO need some for the backing of my 9 patch, and some binding!!!!  Who should we meet there, but some Bloggy girls from Melbourne who were in Ballarat for the weekend, so we had a big chat with them, and shared some details.  Oh how I love to blog and meet all these gals who love the same thing as I do.
hermmmm . . . you did realise that my last post was just a "blog finished" picture of the fab 9 patch - didn't you?  I have now put all the little sashings on, and will get busy tonight joining them all up.
What a lovely weekend I am having.

Almost 2 finishes

Quilted - stipple in the white squares only - binding on, just hand stitching and labeling to go.
. . . and my table runner - a long time in the making, but finally in position.
Lots of computer problems at the moment and difficult uploading etc...
FRUSTRATING

A sewing workshop with RIC RAC

What a wonderful day we had.  Some girls from school and a great sewing room, and the wonderful, infamous RIC RAC leading the pack.  We all made delicious scarfs and felt very clever.  Just trying to "pack a punch" into the last few days of the holidays!!

. . . it's done

. . . a long time in the making, but getting delivered tomorrow
The WEDDING Quilt is done! (pillow cases and all)

I made a new bed for Nelly Puss.  She used to just sleep on the jumper at the end of my bed, but I cut it up and stuffed the arms, joined it together and she LOVES it - all snuggly and warm

Posted by PicasaGardening tomorrow - what bliss!

Look what I made . . .

it wasn't this - this is one of my mum's last Summer roses on the first day of Winter.  To see more great photos, have a look at Snappy Friends.
These 2 cheeky monkeys are from my classroom at school, and had a great holiday at the Family Farm.
I was busy making dolls!
Ric Rac's clever pattern helped me create Natasha, and her friend Ella (in the pink cardi) was made by another friend of mine.  It was a lot of fun making little dresses for them.
