Where the Wild Things Are!!

Thank goodness it is the weekend is all I have to say, as yesterday I had a trip to the local Wildlife Park along with about 150 kids . . .
I had to come home and do a good deal of gardening to feel calm again.
This Koala, however was a lovely site to see. Oh and the coffee from the cafe was nice too!!
This was a Kangaroo's front foot. They were just so tame and the children did love them. Their fur was soft and some had little Joey's in thier pouches.
Looking forward to more gardening today. From a distance and with a bit of time between the event and looking at the photos, it was a good day out. I know the kids loved it.

That last little face you posted is adorable! It's always fun to see wildlife that is not native to one's home. (Maybe not so fun with 150 kids . . .) My daughter spent a few weeks traveling up the east coast of Australia - maybe she even visited that same park. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure those kids will remember that visit.

Beautiful photos-I know excursions can be so tiring but very memorable for the children. Bet you were ready for a cup of tea and a lie down when you got home!

You are so brave - 150 kids no wonder you needed to garden.

It's just so strange to realise that those are your native animals - we don't have anything as fun as Kangaroos! Why not???? It's not FAIR!!!! (although I'm very glad I wasn't the one taking 150 kids to a wildlife park!)

Glad to know that those frightening first photos were from a wildlife park. I would be concerned to see them in my yard!

The pictures are all great and I know the kids must have loved the trip.

Oh, Annie, you're a better man than me. 150 kids. Wow.

It would take a LOT of dirt therapy to get me past that! :)))

As long as you started with 150 kids and finished with 150 kids it had to be a good day.

OMG 150 kids!!! No wonder you had to get some gardening done. I just couldn't do that. I'd be too bossy.....
Love the photos, especially the kangaroo's paw.
Hope you had a relaxing weekend.
