At the weekend, I had a lovely day sewing with one of my friends. We both had our sewing machines whirring and there was chat and contemplation. There were new blocks being formed and the ironing board was getting a good work out - only time it ever gets used is for sewing purposes! I bought the "Sock and Glove" book on Friday night and had fun playing with the monkey page. Ran out out stuffing so it has come to a standstill.I enjoyed watching my clever friend turn fabrics into this . . .
And as the hours rolled by, it turned into this....
...then this!

Tonight when I got home from school, I was excited to recieve a parcel from Amitie
. . . very exciting stuff and oh . . . what to make ? ? ?
Love it, love it, love it.

Friends, fabric, food and wine - it doesn't get better than that!! Love your new fabrics from Amitie!
how lovely to have sewing day, you created some gorgeous things! The sock monkey looks good, can't wait to see him finished. I like the look of your parcel of goodies too.
(We do have a back garden, but it wouldn't be big enough to grow what we wanted and have a garden!)

O.K. did I miss something? Or are you just very magical? It seemed like you were saying that the material turned into the pie! Hmmmm, I've never managed that one b/4! LoL... my DH would be very happy if that happened anytime I went into the sewing room! Or course, I wouldn't mind either! The quilt is sure cute... you gals were busy weren't you? Good for you... it's always nice to spend time gal time! Funny what you can accomplish when your working and talking!
Have fun... Jean C.
