Quilts a plenty

Had a lovely Saturday in Melbourne at Stitches and Craft and look at some of the lovely quilts I saw. These ones above looked like persian carpets and were AMAZING! I recognised this one and when I looked closely at the tag, sure enough it was our "Ballarat Emma" from our local Patchwork shop. Good stuff Emma!

I have just recently bought the Dear Jane book and was keen to look closely at these quilts. The task is quite daunting, but I think I'll be taking "little steps"
Couldn't resist putting in a morning garden shot . . .
. . . and this is one I am working on. I have used pillow slips and curtain remnants. Happy days~

Hia Annie, thanks for sharing those quilts- some were so amazing! Inspiring stuff!

Well done for making a quilt from re-cycled linens. Too often I think we go out and buy "the latest thing" which just ends up in our ever growing stash. I've joined the Summer Stash Challenge, where we make quilts from what we already have. It's certainly helping me get my stash under control.

Best Wishes,
Melanie

Aren't those Salinda Rupp quilts gorgeous, although you would have to be "Totally Insane" to make one, they are worse than Dear Jane. Reminds me I must get a move along on my DJ again!!!! Love your new quilt.

Sounds like a great day out at the Melbourne Stitches and Craft show. I will probably go to the Brisbane Craft & Quilt show in October.
Wow! Aren't they gorgeous quilts - they do look like persian carpets. Dear Jane quilts are lovely, I admire the all the work that goes into them.
I love the quilt you are making, great idea to reuse your linen and other leftover fabrics. Nice fresh colours.
Cheers
