Familiar Flowers

I haven't been in my sewing room for a week, but I have been out in my garden. There is so much happening out there at the moment. Lots of iris's of all colours and a beautiful double white banksia rose. I am enjoying the yellow ones in other people's gardens, and will plant one in my own, soon. They are truely beautiful, just like being in a florists.
I was lucky to bring this seed from my old garden.
It is a double aqualiga - soft pink and oh so frilly.
The lavender is at it's peak at the moment.
Although common, this old Granny's Bonnet is a faithful filler in my garden. It throws its seeds and comes up all over the place, and I love each and every one.
Enjoy your weekend

What beautiful colours Annie! Isn't it a shame the banksia rose only flowers once a year. I am just waiting for my Albertine to flower which basically does the same except for the odd spot flower later in summer. At least I have my Pauls Scarlett's to enjoy the whole summer and autumn.

These colors are great to lighten up our cold and dark world here in the north.

When I get tired of winter in the US, your blog is the place to visit with all those beautiful flowers. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

My yellow banksia has flowered and finished. I had yellow petal confetti in the hall way for weeks. The fish pond looks good! I am going to put some mesh over my top 2 ponds so i can add some fish. Big dust storm happening this afternoon. No rain.

Wow, such great photos!! Love looking through your garden. I'm missing having a garden. Especially with all the roses in top form here in Adelaide. Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

Gorgeous flowers! I have that very same lavender and mine too is blooming.
The fuschia in your header is lovely. Fuschias are so pretty, they always remind me of my grandparents who had a huge collection.
