Holidays drawing to a close

I've been working on my Red and White quilt and am now up to the hand quilting.  I actually love that bit and it is going so quickly I fear I will need to make another quilt very soon!!!
I had a go at Jodie's snail tutorial
. . . had a good laugh and made a few modifications
Had a "blogmeet" a couple of days ago with the Ballarat Bloggers and enjoyed meeting Shabby Cottage, 4 Wise Monkeys (again) and Quilting B and of course Ric Rac who was our wonderful hostess.  Lots of chat chat chat and laughs all 'round.  Thanks girls!
. . . by the end of the day, this was the last photo that was left.  oooops, I forgot to get my camera out when we were all there.  Check the other girls blogs for an update.

Your quilt is looking incredible - I love the fact that you've used red thread for the quilting - it really links it all together! Love your snail too but very very jealous of the meet up! When are you all coming to the UK????? Lucy xxxx

Ah ha! You must be the very same Annie who invented Granny's quilt. I recognize the pattern in your red and white quilt, and I borrowed the idea from you when Jodie was making Granny's quilt. I had some nine patches in my ufo box so I immediately chopped them up. That's actually as far as I've gotten, but I'll get back to it. :>} Nice meeting you, Annie!

What beautiful work on that quilt! Hand quilting requires such patience, in quantities I don't have! Found you via Jodie (Ric Rac), and wanted to say hi! Jess

It's nice to hear you say you love the hand quilting part - I am about to start handquilting a big project and I am a little nervous, having not had much hand quilting experience.hulzy
