Sewing room calling

Somehow I need to get back into my sewing room.  With the lovely Spring weather and work work work, I seem to be going from work to the garden to bed and back to work again . . .
I have taken to sitting on the couch with my feet up - sometimes blogging sometimes working
Any suggestions for getting my motivation back??

. . . after all, this is supposed to be a craft/garden blog and seems to be a bit one sided at the moment.

blinkers on from when you open your front door to when you are safely through your garden. And then vice versa at the end of the day. This way you wouldn't even see the garden let alone respond to its siren call.......

Hey Annie, Perhaps you should come to my place and we can work on this motivation together! I am trying my hand and drawing at the moment, but have to finish the quilt, have to finish the quilt, have to finish the quilt.......

Would taking your sewing into the garden help????

Sorry Annie, I'm no help to you at all. have you seen my blog lately? Nothing but flower pictures day after day! I too am completely distracted by spring. Perhaps you need something small & achievable to get your mojo back. Or why not do something crazy & start your Dear Jane? It is small & achievable if you look at it one block at a time!! In the meantime, I am loving your flower garden.

oh but the garden looks so good...when the weather warms up i find it's hard to sit inside at the machine...i try to do most of my stuff at night when the kids are asleep and it's a little cooler...

Draw some of the Flowers and then figure out a way to recreate these flowers in the sewing room.

I know easier said than done but worth a try.

I think it is hard to be inside when the weather is so beautiful outside. Enjoy it and be inspired by your garden.

Hi Annie, sorry catching up I killed my computer with my cold and hubby had to re-build it.

As your garden is inspiring you, why not do a project based on it- colours, applique the flowers you see, something like that?

beautiful pics. I think Shakespeare called Granny's Bonnets "Columbine".

I love your picture Annie. I have to say when we get the nice weather i sit and craft in the conservatory with the doors open. It is hard to be motivated at times. I am finding it hard now as it is getting really cold now but I have so many craft fairs to do.

I wouldn't worry about it being one-sided, just enjoy your garden and the sewing will come back when its ready!

I, for one, am enjoying the beautiful photography! Thanks. Perhaps you can get motivated by your flower pictures. Start a floral project. Or get inspired by the gorgeous colors in your photos.

Hi Annie

Your flowers are just beautiful. What about starting on planning a lovely garden quilt with flowers.
I hope you get your motivation back to start quilting again.
