The colours and joys of Spring

With the bright sunshine we had this week, my pink Pigface was all out in flower, and it is just a brilliant pink that lights up the whole street.  Backing out the driveway on my way to school on Thursday I happened to spy this beautiful papava poppie out.  The first one for the season...and lot of bud still to open.
A big thank you to Lucy Lockett for some very exciting post as well, in between Ric Rac's selvedges.  I will be putting these to use for sure!  Thanks Lucy for sharing.
Now, we all had a day off school today for the Ballarat Show, and I decided it was time I spent some quality time in my sewing room.  It was a rainy old day which was not good for the show, but FABULOUS for our gardens.  A good day to stay indoors and Miss Nelly was very happy to have us all about.

Being home today, we were here to greet the postie, and he brought me these lovely calenders that I ordered from SnapFish for 2009.  How's that for organised!

I also had some Christmas Cards printed as well.
The post didn't stop there, my lovely friend Daisy Chain sent me this lovely book!  The sun was shining on me today despite the rain!  Thank you Jenny.
.  .  .  and the rest of the day was spent on my Secret Santa Swap.  I am almost finished and it looks great.

Happy weekend ahead to you all
Annie

Hello Missus FlowerGarden! Loving your poppy, I used to have one that was more watermelon-y than that but.... :-(

Am blog-hopping my way through Chookyblue's SSCS list to see who else is playing along.

Love that pretty pig face and those poppies are gorgeous. You must have a few different sorts. Glad the book arrived safe and sound and you sound very organised indeed-that calendar looks very special.

What a lovely post full of gifts and flowers. I am in the middle of a snapfish calender but snapfish is not playing very well. I love poppies.
