Monkey Madness

Despite 40 degree heat, I have survived my first day back at school
The Principal LOVED the quilt which I finished at 11.30 last night!!
. . . and these 3 little monkeys are what my children spent making on my last day at home with them.  I thought they reflected their personalities quite well. . . even the sizes matched.

The children won't be back at school until Monday, so it will be nice to just be at school and catch up with all my friends, oh, and do some P.D. (Professional Development), and get ready for the onslaught of Term 1 2009.

It seems so strange that your school year starts now as ours always starts in September. But then again, starting in January seems quite sensible - new year = new school year! I know it is all to do with seasons but it never ceases to surprise me how different things are on the other side of the world while still being the same, if you know what I mean!?

Blogging has broadened my horizons amazingly! Whoever thought that a craft blog could be so educational!!!

Blogging is certainly educational! It's great to see lovely flowers, photos and find out about the weather on the other side of the world.

Love the little monkeys. Hope the heat doesn't get to you too much. Well we'll never have that problem unless global warming gets going.

My favourite bit is the eyebrows on the biggest monkey - too funny!

Quite quite bonkers that you are all wilting in the heat while others are battling with ice storms! I love this mad litle planet :-)

Good luck for the start of your new school year. Starting it off without the children there seems like a very good idea ;-)

Love those monkeys!! Your kids are obviously following in their crafty mum's footsteps!!

The monkeys are great, they are all so different. (I especially like the one with the toothy grin). I hope you have air-conditioning at your school.
