The spinning of a web

Some might say I have had too much time on my hands.  I don't usually see the sun shining at the front door, and I have been watching this web for weeks.  When the kids went to school the other day, the sun was shining through the web, and I just couldn't help reaching for my camera.
Although I can honestly say, I still don't like spiders, I have respect for their spinning ability.
After 2 weeks off work with my eye surgery, I am back to school tomorrow.  Thanks for everyone's good wishes and interest in my procedure.  I am just so excited to be glasses free after 37 years, and each day the fuzz is lifting just a little bit more.  I started driving again on Friday, and tomorrow I am back to routine.

These are just another couple of pictures of the lovely Zinnia's from last week.
Happy week to you all - and if any of you were thinking of Laser Vision Correction, I would recommend it as a life changing experience.

I am glad everything went well and you are glass free! I am still not brave enough to have my eyes corrected. I don´t like spiders but as you say they are very skilled in spinning webs.

Glad the laser treatment went well. I was put off by my Spanish teacher whose surgery was a disaster. She refused to go back to have it redone.

The photos are lovely. I always seem to have a spider's web on the mirror of my car. Looks very pretty when it rains.

Love the spider web and I'm with you - I still don't like spiders no matter how clever they are at weaving. Good luck at work today. I'm sure your grade will take extra good care of you.

Glad that your vision is improving every day. Lots of garden spiders here. I hate it when I don't see the web and walk into it. eek! instant hair net :)

Did you see what spider spun the web? I have some very fancy ones and managed to snap a shot of the culprit and even though I was a mile away using my big zoom lens I was terrified it would move and I would drop my camera. Creepy!.

I don't like spiders either, but can admire the work they do, so intricate.

We had one on a front window. It worked so hard we didn't have the heart to take it down. Fun to watch.

Those pretty spider webs make us all a little more tolerant of the not-so-appealing spiders! But I surely do like the fact that they rid us of so many even less appealing critters!

Stunning web - it's such an amazing feat of engineering. Those zinnias barely look real - gorgeous. Hope the peepers aren't too sore. Emma x

So glad your laser surgery went well. I love looking at different spider webs. Last summer we had a huge spider build a web across our walkway and we had to be careful or we would get a face full of web. One afternoon I just sat and watched the spider build the web. It was cool.

You have to give credit where credit is due and I think Mr Spider has done a great job.
