The buds of the Cosmos
I worked on this part of the garden this week. I planted a new tree for Autumn colour. My wonderful Echium's have finally "had it" - they are not long livers, and have been in about 5 years - and all that rain just soaked them out. I left a couple of little ones, but pulled the old ones out. It's left a big gap, which is a different look in my back yard, but I'm sure it will soon fill up.

More Cosmos buds
Just Joey, is one of my favourite roses as it is such a great performer.
. . . and I just LOVE Papa Milland. I moved this one at the wrong time, and thought I'd lost it, but it has come back stronger than ever and is full of flowers, and the perfume is divine.

Your garden is looking wonderful Annie. I have lost plants too with the wet weather. Had no idea water could pool that much....sigh. Hopefully now the weather will settle down (along with the mozzies) so we can enjoy being outdoors.

I love Papa Milan, it's beautiful..
We've lost 5 trees/shrubs because of the rain, just don't like their feet wet I guess..

Oh, Annie, you have made my winter weary eyes so happy with all the beauty in your back yard. What a feast! The roses, especially, are so beautiful.

The roses are beautiful, Papa Milland one of my favourites too. Ilike the way you can get up so close and personal with the buds, it really shows their beauty. What was the tree you planted for autumn colour.?

I've just been enjoying the most wonderful 'walk' through your garden on your last four posts, Annie!
It's looking so beautiful. The photos of your Tiger Lilies are stunning and the Just Joey rose is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen.
You've definitely brightened up a dismal winter's day for me!

'Just Joey' is Sylv's favourite. Mine has to be 'Joseph's Coat'. There is a little cottage which has a wall of 'Joseph's Coat' in the Summer. I shall try and remember to get a pick in the Summer for you.
