Only 6 days left

With only 6 days left of this, my favourite season, I'm just sneaking in one more post of my beautiful colour.
This is my Medlar Tree that is stunning!
The silver birch are all but finished with their display, and the ornamental pear is turning a lovely shade of red.
It was seriously SO cold today, I thought at one stage that the rain was going to turn into snow!

I've been doing lots and lots of sewing due to the cold snap, so I'll be showing you some of that next post.

glorious......I wanted a medlar and am not sure if I got one at Diggers at Trentham I got a Pomegranate but I suspect they did not survive my time in hospital in '09 when I got them. Have had a lovely time watching the leaves carpet the back lawn. And a glorious Mt Fuji grown from a seedling in the front.

Wonderful colours Annie. I have been giving my girls a few 'hip hip hooray' rewards this week - works a charm, everyone wants one - thanks for that tip!

Lovely vibrant colors Annie. It's hard to believe you are in winter weather, we are in heat and humidity, and soon to be hurricane season.

Look forward to seeing what you are working on.

Been freezing here hasn't it, fire, soup and sewing, that's been my week too. Love the colour of your Medlar Annie, have you seen the old one at the Garden of St Erth? I might just have to invest in one of those too..

Ah yes - Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness... I love Autumn, too, but your garden colours are ALWAYS a delight, Annie.

What - you mean it's so cold in Ballarat AND it's not even winter yet?? Autumn is my favourite season too, Annie - such wonderful colours. And thanks for the snippet of Keats, Nikki - that took me straight back to third form at Heretaunga College in NZ when we 'did' Keats; I still love his poetry despite the awful way it was taught...

Stunning!!! We used to have lots of trees at our old place and our new one has none, oh how I miss them! Though I must admit I don't miss having to clean up all the leaves! Thanks for sharing!
