Some beautiful Amy Butler fabric that Four Wise Monkeys passed on to me recently
I made it into a quilt (surprise, surprise)
I'm not very good at cooking, and have enough trouble making meals for my own family, but when a friend of mine lost her father recently, I wanted to do something to let her know I was thinking of her and surrounding her in love and comfort
So I made her a quilt
I haven't delivered it yet, as I'm enjoying the lovely colours, but I will take it to her at the weekend.
The lovely "cheats" backing, I get from Emma, and it makes it look so good. You just follow the lines and then they just wash off.
. . . and here is my purple skirt!
I had to add a bit of length for my middle aged lady legs!
And here is a little bit of crotchet that I did as 'car craft' last weekend when I went away.
I just love the JET wool.

What a great friend you are...that quilt is just beautiful! As for your crochet...well done. Every winter I entertain romantic notions of knitting or picking up a crochet hook. LOL alas my house is littered with unfinished projects of the past.

What a beautiful quilt! And your quilting (I don't care if it is a cheat) is gorgeous! Great job. The skirt looks great, too. You've really been doing a lot of pretty things.

Your quilt is beautiful and the quilting is very clever - even if the lines are printed for you! I'm still too scared to machine quilt anything so I'm very impressed! Lucy x
