I just can't help myself with my Zinnia's.
Everytime I go out into the garden, there they are, with thier beautiful bright colours, and many petals. I thought in this bud form, it looked like little teeth (probably because I was supposed to go to the Dentist today)
Below is the bud of my Gallipolli Heath - puple flowers everywhere in that spot. They are quite rampant, and I happiliy pulled up a root of it for my neighbour to share with her last week.
More Zinnia Joy
. . . and still a few Cosmos blooming, which are just spectacular. They are so simple and seem so plain, but I think they are so special.
Easy to grow
Free with thier seeding
and come back each year like a good friend.

I love them - they are my favourite flower. I suggested calling one of the girls Zinnia, but the husband would not be in it.
I do so love your floral photography Annie.
The Zinnias are quite special, and I agree with you about the Cosmos - I love the show they put on, not much water needed either :D)
they'll be loving this rain Annie, Zinnia's are one of my favourites too but we don't have any this year...I wonder why..!! I'll have to rectify that next year..!

Zinnias are one of my favorite floer. My grandmother loved those and sweet williams. Both so close to my heart.
Self seeding is fantastic and should not be the action of weeds only. I have some self sown Zinnias and it looks like a multi coloured variety as the plant is actualy several plants with their stems close together.
Stunning flowers... beautiful photography... your garden must be sew lovely!
Oooh, I love zinnias. I can hardly wait until it's time for them to bloom here. They are so uncomplicated and undemanding yet give lots of color and enjoyment. I always love to see your flowers. You put them in their best form!

I agree with every body, zinnias are such simple, uncomplicated, colourful and gay flowers. Perfect flowers indeed. Your pictures are always stunning.
Your flower photos are so beautiful that they take your breath away.
Beauty gives such joy.
I like your photos too Annie
Lovely photos... I'm also reminded of talented Christabel who runs the label Zinnia Pea, with lots of literary inspiration for her work. Being a maker yourself you might like what she does...
My grandma loves that flower so much. Honestly i don't know why. I still go for rose and Cherry Blossom. While my mom's favorite is the Calla Lily. How about you guys? By the way.. Very impressive shots. : )
