Bento Box

For kicks on Saturday night, 2 of my little flowers decided to go camping in the back yard.
They put up a tent and got all organised with their bedding.
Then it was a hive of activity in the kitchen.
I wondered what they were doing.

It appears that the topic in Japanese last week for Miss Flowergarden was Bento Boxes.
How proud was I that she had not only come home and tried it out, but also shared the fun with her little brother. They had a great time, and there was even a competition as to whose was the best.

I know, I know, a Mother's not supposed to choose, but they made me - can you guess which one I chose?
Which one do you like best?
They were all set for thier midnight snacks!

It was a lovely quiet Saturday night inside with some of my favourite roses
This one is Abraham Darby - a David Austin Rose

Awww, cute! How nice they like to hang out together too, don't remember much of that with my big brother! The top one's more colourful, and it has chocolate.....

Hey -- you're not going to make US choose -- that's unfair LOL. What a fun activity for your kids -- and so healthy too -- I'm very impressed!

What scrumptious roses! And the bento boxes are just really pretty and colorful. My guess is that you chose the one with the chocolate. ;)

I see what you mean. They both look delicious.
I thought you meant a "bento box" quilt!

Both of those boxes look great! It would be very hard to decide.

How pretty the bento box food looks. Sometimes, I have to confess, I lack in presentation when I put food on the table. Let's hope that I will learn something during my upcoming trip to Japan...

I love their bento boxes - I should try this for lunch for the girls! THey eat well but I find they need more little bits and pieces at the moment as they get too distracted by playing to eat their lunch some days!!
