Putting scraps to good use

My baby turned 12
I made a guitar cake for him
Looked a bit more like a violin or a mandolin
but hey, the kids response was "awsome cake mum!"
so that made it all worthwhile.

Cutting the awsome cake with a 'big' knife is always the fun bit ...
hope all enjoyed the b'day celebration ...
Happy stitching, P

Sweet cake, and I'm sure he loved it. Look at that happy expression on his face.

What a lovely way to use up scraps. Very pretty.

Thank goodness our kids aren't as critical of our cakes as we are! Chocolate icing, licorice and a big knife - what else does a 12 year old boy need? Hope he had a great day.

I'll bet that cake tasted good. It looks great, and as long as birthday boy liked it, who else matters? Your scrappies look mighty good, too!
