My baby turned 12 I made a guitar cake for him Looked a bit more like a violin or a mandolin but hey, the kids response was "awsome cake mum!" so that made it all worthwhile.
Thank goodness our kids aren't as critical of our cakes as we are! Chocolate icing, licorice and a big knife - what else does a 12 year old boy need? Hope he had a great day.
I have a lasting love affair with scraps......they just make me happy. Almost ready to sew...shoulder healing really well...thanks for comments. Cool cool cake. Good Good Mum

Happy stitching, P
Sweet cake, and I'm sure he loved it. Look at that happy expression on his face.
What a lovely way to use up scraps. Very pretty.

I'll bet that cake tasted good. It looks great, and as long as birthday boy liked it, who else matters? Your scrappies look mighty good, too!
