This tree never ceases to amaze me, year after year
My tree dahlia this year is the best it has ever been. Towers over the house and has not been hit by wind or frost. A FIRST!
Ornamental Pear
Silver Birch beauty
. . . and you can't by-pass a Japanese Maple
White Nerrines - my mystery bulbs showing themselves at last.
. . . and even the most humble succulant puts on a Show for Autumn.
Autumn is just my FAVOURITE time.

I am an autumn girl too. That tree is amazing.
Oh my goodness! I have just planted a tree dahlia but didn't realise it could grow THAT big. I hope it will put up with a bit of pruning.
I'm in Ballarat as well so good news about the frost tolerance.
I have never seen a dahlia tree, too cold in winter here. Must be an amazing sight when in bloom.
Ah, the colors of autumn! What an interesting garden you have.
All your plants are gorgeous. There are so many shades of autumn colours.
We are headed into summer here in California. My nectarines will be ready in a couple of weeks. I saw the first garden tomato beginning to turn from green to red yesterday. :-)
Hi Anne, you should get into natural dye. Everything you show on this post are dye-able. I used to have tree dahlia and DH killed it :(
Love your Autumn colours Annie,The tree dahlia make a good show this year.
Oh dear, tis not fair, you are making me all sentimental. I failed to grab a cutting from Mum's tree dahlia before we sold her home. I seem to have lost my nerines...sobs and did not have white at all as I recall and then you throw an ornamental pear at me....mine was in a huge pot for years and was another drought loss, as were all my silver birches..must buy another one..I do at least have 2-3 Japanese Maples.....as usual your garden is a lovely memory as well as visual walk for me.
I at last got all my many bulbs planted so looking forward to Spring. Have to move a stack of jonquils and Dutch Iris that my handyman planted in the veggie garden...in rows do you mind!! I said to put them all in the very back garden. Not that I meant for them to be dug out of the rose bed in any case but it was a good thing as you would not really know that any had been removed....and a lot were. Happy winter to Spring gardening.
