Headaches

Still reviewing our trip to "Melbs"

This cake shop in The Block Arcade was AMAZING!

The queue on a Saturday morning was unbelievably long.
So I just took photos!

My mum always said that these cakes looked nice, but gave you headaches, so it was best not to have them! (like the ones in the supermarket!)
Had the queue not been so long, I would have taken the risk . . .

I was on a mission!
I was looking in the city for "arrays".
My husband thought I needed some camping equipment, and thought I was looking for A Ray's (Tent City)!
We did fall about laughing in the middle of the Bourke Street Mall

Once we started looking, we found them everywhere.

We are doing Multiplication at school this week, and I thought some real life examples would be fun.

. . . everywhere

. . . simply everywhere . . . this one was good because it was half covered over.

I think I would have risked the cakes too! Great photos.

I think your mum was probably right, especially when I look at all that beautiful and bright food dye in the stacked confections in the first photo. Gorgeous, but would I want to eat them?

Reading your posts is always an education, Annie! And the cakes look so good I would have queued - and I hate queuing.

I did get a laugh about the headaches, I don't remeber that but it was a no argument comeback for a pleading child. "The Block Arcade" was featured on TV last night. One hundred years old I think, they showed those same cakes. Beautiful photos. Great maths tasks, they say make it real... You do such a good job of that!

Good examples! And I think I may have gained weight just looking at all those goodies.
