Farm Holiday

Visiting with my Mum and admiring her flowers.  Not so keen to help her out with much ground work though as it is snake season.
These Emus are only decoration, but I let out a wild scream when I saw this Stumpy Tail Lizard on the path this afternoon.

He walked off into this Salvia Patch, and could not be seen.
I brought my sewing machine with me, so I think some sewing is the order of the day.
Lovely lazy days with great views.

Yikes snakes! Now they are something I really don't like!

I think you might be like Scarlett from Gone with the Wind, and draw your strength and inspiration from the homeplace soil! Her flowers are beautiful, just like yours. And I don't blame you - I'd avoid the snakes, too.

I have heard that where there are lizards the snakes stay away but I don't know about that! Have fun at your mum's and enjoy your sewing x

Ewwwww! Stay in the house!!!!! There appear to be creepy crawlies out there. Sewing is the ONLY choice LOL!

Yowza! I have never even heard of a Stumpy Tail Lizard before. It looks like something I would not want to meet up with in my garden.
