Bloggy Love

I've been transfixed by this magnificent echium - just had to show you again.
. . . and what a lovely Bloggy weekend I am having.  FIrst of all a lovely long talk to Chooky Blue before even getting out of bed this morning.  We've only ever met once, but it feels like we have been old friends for years.  Very excited to be meeting up again in Sydney in August.  (and I've just found out that Daisy Chain is also going to be there and I've never met her, but feel she is my kindred spirit, so I am very excited about that) - well, then after a spot of weeding - all this rain has made them grow furiously - I went off to meet Ric Rac for a coffee at our favourite meeting place.
. . . after that we just HAD to go to Ballarat Patchwork to catch up with Emma and well, buy just a little bit of fabric.  Well, I DO need some for the backing of my 9 patch, and some binding!!!!  Who should we meet there, but some Bloggy girls from Melbourne who were in Ballarat for the weekend, so we had a big chat with them, and shared some details.  Oh how I love to blog and meet all these gals who love the same thing as I do.
hermmmm . . . you did realise that my last post was just a "blog finished" picture of the fab 9 patch - didn't you?  I have now put all the little sashings on, and will get busy tonight joining them all up.
What a lovely weekend I am having.

It's amazing who you find in a patchwork shop in Ballarat!
I'll have to go and visit that lovely Upholstery Gallery next time I'm in town.

I love your flower pics, Annie; I bet your garden is gorgeous. I had such a lovely surprise this morning; the surviving hellebore in my garden has burst into bloom with its first blossoms (double pink). Sad to say I have not had coffee at the Upholstery Gallery; must remedy that very soon. Have bought some lovely pressies there though. What a great day you had. I went off to the craft fair in Melb. and had fun and bought yet more stuff...

Thank goodness you blogged that Echium again....it is magnificent. I hope we'll see it yet again.

There's something so special about blogging in that it can bring together strangers who quickly become close friends. I don't know what it is....but it works. I hope you have a great time with your friends when you meet.

Your quilt a beautiful....a real feast of colour.
