. . . and more sewing

I've only been briefly looking at the garden blooms as I have been madly sewing, but you have to love Double Delight - she is such a pretty Rose.
Second Hand school uniforms being purchased from networking with neighbours, and as an added extra thank you, I made a little Nichole Mallalieu Purse to put the money in. Love this little pattern, so easy to make and such a great result each time.
As I hadn't been out of my sewing room for hours upon hours, Miss Flowergarden decided to join me, and she started making a runner for her new dressing table. She chose all the fabrics from within the inner sanctum, and the funniest comment came from Master Flowergarden (14), when he said . . . "like, did you just have all those fabrics there ready to use?!"

Now I'm ready to start school for the year as I have made myself a new school bag,
Like my friend Ric Rac, I am now "Dead Posh!"

Far out you have been busy - I'd better get off the computer and get some sewing done or there will be no show and tell on the first day from me.....

Can't tell which bag I like best from here.....

You are two posh chicks, all right! Love the bags, Annie - and Double Delight is one of my favourite roses; doing well in my garden along with Margaret Merril and Gertrude Jekyll. Lots of tiny dragonflies zizzing around today; lovely.

You most certainly are dead posh, gorgeous fabrics all of them. 14yr-old boys says the strangest things don't they, I have one here at the moment! I'm sure they live on a different planet most of the time.

Hahahaha! I suspect Master Flower Garden would need smelling salts if he could see all of our stashes!

It looks like you've been good and busy -- and making some gorgeous things!

love the new school bag! And I bet using those 'ready to hand' fabrics didn't even dent your stash!

WOw - what a sewing whizz you've been!! Giving the new machine a good workout, huh?

LOVE the carry-all bag - great combination of fabrics!! And yes - the zip purse is always a bit of a winner - if I do say so myself.

Boys just don't get the notion of "the stash", do they? Good to see your girl has been bitten by the sewing bug, though.

Good on you, love the bags! Great to have the resources to get creative when inspired. All systems go tomorrow. I will have to clean out a bag for a new start. I have been looking for the right purple for my project but none seem dark enough. Not convinced I know what to do so i will wait while ideas brew.

with those yummy bags I almost wish I was back off to school with you....but then there is the heat..and the getting up early....there are the kids, yummy ..well by the end of Term 1 they will be...the other staff....friends or foe......
and back then for me it was dresses...or suits...the whole stretch sewing world of knitwit.
Oh there is one blue dress that I remember from 1983........know I Am geriatric...
Have a great year.

Great bags Annie. If only I could find the time to be half as productive as you. Double delight is gorgeous. Ive just started enjoying roses and will definitely put this one on the must have list.
Cheers

You are clever enough to name your roses.......thought of you as I was making a smiley box that somehow did not work well....and there was space for the names but it would have involved walking out and checking a few. I think I actually scored a double or triple certificate Knitwit....quite appropriate.
I wish the range of stretch fabrics had kept developing but there were a lot more people making their own clothes then and someone probably decided it was not good for the clothing trade.....
I must do a little more some time.
