Let the Sun Shine In

Ages ago we had a brilliant idea. To change the laundry door to a full glass door. I have been unable to see out into my back garden from inside the house.
The light it has let in, and the happiness it has brought to my heart is just wonderful. I feel like my garden is now part on the inside and I keep thinking I've left the door open.
I love it, love it,love it!!!!!
Max thinks it's pretty good too!

Oh, how wonderful! I HAVE to be able to see outside. I know exactly how you feel from when Mr. Muddling added the window in my sewing room. It just makes your heart happy, doesn't it?

What about on a super hot day.
I have a laundry door which already has an approx 30" rectangle in glass over the top so have always needed a curtain for the very hot days.
I have been going to do what you have done but mine goes out onto the side, a beautiful climbing rose and magnolia soulangina when in flower. I suspect I may be better to get one with glass spaces...they look a bit like drawer spaces and then put a blind on the top so that I can pull it at night. I have been known to prance into the laundry with not much covering me to throw things in the machine...and while the fence is high and the gate is locked....I think mine may be part window and part wood......but window in the lower parts where now it is only in the top section.
I have been contemplating this for ages. Need a new front and shed door, so I am sure one of them could be recycled for the shed which is a brick construction.
I really like it thought. But mine gets afternoon sun and I think that full one would be a little to welcoming to the sun.
I love it where you have it. I get the view through the kitchen windows.

Being able to enjoy the garden from inside the house is a great move. It also makes one keep the garden weeded, etc......lol.

You should definitely not block the beautiful view outside. Glad you replaced it with a glass door. It’s more enjoyable to do the laundry when there’s fresh air and natural light coming in. +Danielle Bailey
