It's too wet here today for gardening, but I wanted to capture the tiger lilly buds before they opened. Can you just see them there. I will show you again when they open. I think my slippers must have a crack in the bottom, as I now have wet socks!
Not that I'm complaining - thinking of all those people in QLD. They'll have more than wet socks. I can't imagine, but am locked into the news.
This is the view out my new back glass door today.
Last week I got this panel from Ballarat Patchwork.
I didn't know quite what to do, but after a visit from a friend the other day, she convinced me to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
I have been experimenting with all my "fancy" stitches on my sewing machine and changing the length and width, and then doing some machine applique.
A bit of fun really - not sure what it's going to be yet, but I'll keep you posted.

Its a bit wet, isnt it! I've been out in the rain trying to net part of my apricot tree, as the birds have started feasting this morning. Well timed on their part.
I love your little out-of-your-comfort-zone stitching so far! And your yard is just gorgeous. What a LOT of lily buds you have. It will be quite a display.
