What a difference a DAY makes . . .

Yesterday I noticed my Tiger Lilly buds had turned orange, so I snuck inside for my camera to catch them like this . . . then . . .
today when I went out for my garden inspection first thing in the morning . . .
I am so excited with them - such beautiful flowers
The only thing is, we're heading off in our caravan tomorrow for a few days, so I'll have to tell my neighbour to come over and enjoy them. Glad I caught a peek.
Love in the Mist is always special, at every stage. I have a huge clump of dried seed pods in the front yard, and am enjoying them just as much.
Another little glimpse of Tassie through the trees.
This beautiful OLD tree was at the Botanic Gardens
Just amazing!
. . . and just a little bit of quilting.
I recovered an old cushion with some favourite fabric for my travel pillow.
It was nice to cuddle when I was away from home and my Pussy Cats!

The tiger lilies don't do so well here - too hot I guess. They will bloom - sulkily - once, but never again. So I enjoy seeing yours! Sorry you'll miss the big show when more are open. And your pillow cover is just beautiful!

Many years ago we lived up in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains (other half grew up there) and the Tiger Lily's are everywhere. They infested our garden with orange spotted sunshine every year..! I've never grown them since but maybe I should start, they are beautiful...

That's what your Christmas lillies should have been like.....totaly amazing! The thing I like most about any garden is you can find the spectacular promise of great beauty every day. There is always something to reward you for your gardening efforts. There is nothing worse than missing the flowering of a bulb and realising that you will have to wait another whole year to see it. Will we see you again this holidays?

My dad used to grow those tiger lillies and mum still has some in her garden. I just love them. Did you know that if the stamens stain your clothes just wash them, the washing doesn't take out the stain but hang the item in full sun and the stain disappears while drying...magic! Deb.

The lilies are magnificent - love the photo too. Hopefully, they'll still be there for your return.

That beautiful old tree is wonderful too. I like photos taken from that angle.

I love the close-up of the Tiger Lilly, just beautiful and the image looking up into the tree, plus the distant view through the greenery. Thanks for sharing :)
