Finished and Hung

I've been working on this in the evenings this week while watching TV
I was happy today when I found the binding in my "spares" box, and then on a trip to the garden shed, found a little piece of bamboo, just the right size.
So I hung it up straight away, right next to my bed, where I will be able to admire it each night on my way to sleep.
This is Day 2 of my Baby Canary out of it's nest.  It looks so tiny in the big avairy on the ground, as it can not yet fly.
I think it's feathers have grown more today, but do you see that little tail feather?  That's why it is still on the ground.  "Grow little tail - Grow".  Thankfully the other birds are looking after it, and keep feeding it beak to beak.
. . . and this a is little Sweet William.

Your wall hanging is a great finish. Very artistic. And a sweet baby too.

The idea of a flower being called Sweet William was almost enough to get my 3rd baby named William. (DH said no, but...).
Love your little canary.
And saving the best for last, your hanging wall quilt is wonderful!

What a very pretty wall hanging. You did a great job, and how neat that you finished it without having to go buy more "stuff"! Yay for you!!

you have really got 'the eye' for it, haven't you, Annie. Oh, I'm glad to hear that the other birds are looking after Little Bird.

Your little bird's feathers HAVE grown! I do hope it thrives. Your quilt is lovely. I am glad you found a good place to display it.

Your quilt is gorgeous, Annie and I really love the hand-stitching on it :o)

I love your canary baby too! How exciting to see it growing so quickly and being looked after by the other birds.

What a sweet little wall hanging! I love that you hand-stitched around each little piece. And your canary is too cute -- how fun to be able to watch him (her?) grow.

funny how we forget old favorites. I have not seen sweet William for years. I got three items from Tesselaar's this week. A different hydrangea, a campanula...used to have them everywhere and have searched for them for ages, and a very different aquilegia.
