More baby Canaries amongst the flowers

These cactus flowers that last so fleetingly, remind me why I keep these plants year after year.
This bird is called Cassidy.  The neighbours children had thought she was a boy, and tried breeding with their other bird April, to no avail.  When they brought her over the road, it was only a matter of 2 weeks and she was busily sitting on eggs.
 I have poppy heads everywhere
. . . and in Avairy No. 2 this little bird is sitting for a second time after already raising 2 lovely babies.  The string that is hanging from this nest, linked up to another nest, and I'm sure it was a telephone line, so the birds could keep in touch while patiently sitting on their tiny eggs.
 Beautiful deep red November Lillies
Cassidy again, and the neighbourhood children kept visiting, very excited at the prospect of babies.
 Love In The Mist
One of my absolute favourites!
Here are the parents.  They are dedicated indeed.  Dad is a wonderful singer and whenever Cassidy needs a bath, or a break, he sits on the eggs and keeps them warm.
Can you see 2 little beaks below?  They are calling "Mum -MUM! ..." I think she is feeding the 3rd one that is in the nest
Cassidy has been rewarded for her patience.  There are 2 teeny tiny beaks there.  Can you see them?
It has been a VERY EXCITING Springtime in my garden.

You must be doing something right to have all those gorgeous babies. Between them and your garden there is colour everywhere.

Gorgeous, Annie! I do love seeing your garden and birdies, even if it's only in blogland - shall have to remedy that next year!

All the little birds are so cute. I love the string thing happening. All the flowers are superb but I like the cactus one best.

Lovely walk around your garden. I feed Mr and Mrs Magpie who have the most noisy baby at the moment. I think she is a very patient mum, baby is so demanding.

I loved the beautiful flower pics interspersed too.
Love in a Mist is a favourite of mine from years ago... whenever I see yours it reminds me I must get some for our garden in our current home :D)
