On my way home from work

I had to stop on my way home to capture this view.

Will have to get used to going home in the dark very soon.

Further around the Lake I had to give way to these guys "swaning" across the road at a leisurley pace.

Gorgeous photos Annie, and those swans bring back some childhood memories.

love the pics, annie; don't we have some fabulous sunsets! And I love stopping for the swans when driving along the parade; some of those little birds seem to have a bit of a death wish though. Coming to AQC with us??

Your photos are beautiful! I always try to take pictures of the beautiful sunsets but just never have much luck -- my sun always looks like a little pindot. It's hard to imagine you guys going into shorter days -- just as we are doing the opposite!

The thought of driving home from work in the dark means we have given the entire day to earning a living. Sometimes I wonder if that is living however we do need to eat so there's the truth. My pottery kids will be being picked up in the dark. Mum's birthday is the shortest day of the year and it all picks up from there...bring it on!

What stunning photographs Annie! I wish I could capture sunsets like that. It's funny to think that you are looking towards darker evenings when ours have just lightened up! Lucy xx
