Birthday Blossom

This is my Eldest Son's Birthday Blossom (Prunis Bleriana)
At our old house it was always out on his birthday, so I planted one in our new house, and it's just a bit after his birthday, but not by much.  He turned 18 last Thursday, and this morning I found this on his tree.
My daughters Birthday Blossom is Prunis Elvins.  I love this tree so much that I have 2 in the garden.  It will flower around September 16, when she turns 16!

Beautiful white jonquils in my front garden

. . . and Snowdrops

and my Happy Wanderer - it is a white one and just looks like snow, climbing up the wall at the front of my house.

You can imagine by these photos that my garden smells delicious at the moment.

This Hippiastrum is "splitting it's sides laughing" or so my mum says.
It will burst open any day now.

Beautiful Japonica in full bloom

. . . and these little friends of mine are getting busy

My yard is full of song and promise

I bought some more little nests today too!

How lovely to have that connection between your garden and the birthdays. Spring is definitely on it's way here too. I love the humble Snowdrop.

I have never thought of connecting flowers in the garden to birthdays. Great snaps as usual.

Oh, how sweet! Happy wishes to both of your offspring. I am eagerly awaiting nesting pictures of those little birds.

Spring is coming...I can smell it!
I had to duck out of the way of a magpie today. I had words with it! As the provider of many worms, I have right of way in the garden!

Blossoms and birthdays - what a lovely link, Annie. Gorgeous pics as usual - those little birdies are sweet. Today is a bit wild and wooly so I definitely won't be up to much in the garden today.

I love the idea of birthday blossoms. We've got almond blossom out here & it smells amazing.
Loving your tweety birds too.
