I've had these fabrics for awhile now, and have been thinking about what type of quilt I would make with them.
I've been looking at a lot of half square triangle quilts, and finally decided on this after seeing some similar on Pinterest.
Now I've put all the "little" pieces together, I'm going to add some bigger pieces.
I have a new friend beside my machine.
A purchase from the recent Geoff's Shed Craft Fair!

Nice quilt but what is your new friend?
I love the fabrics. I also like the half square triangles. They mix up the fabrics beautifully. A little iron is the next thing I will buy from the Brisbane craft show in October. I have the special mat that you have. I bought that at the last craft show.

Wow, love the fabric combinations. It's looking great. Nifty little iron.
I like the fabric combinations too and this quilt is really interesting.
What kind of iron is that? Never seen anything like it before.

Looking very promising, Annie. Great fabrics.
Great colour and fabric combination and that ironing contraption is intriguing-enjoy x
Love it! I've been saving up some HSTs to do something similar.
Love the look of those hst's!
And is that really an iron? I haven't seen one that looks like that before -- definitely different!
Great work!
Oh Annie, I LIKE your new project. My eyes just want to go everywhere at once! And what a neat iron. I've never seen one like it.
Love those colours!
Hi Annie,
Hope you're travelling well and 2013 has been good to you so far. What a stunning quilt, I LOVE the colours you've chosen.
I'm just popping in to let you know about a little #reverb-like blog challenge my friend Meredith and I are offering from August 21 to 31. It's called August Moon and it looks all set to be magic!
We'd be so excited if you joined us. You can find out more here: http://www.katmcnally.com/p/august-moon-13.html
Take care,
Kat xx
Stunning quilt. I have a 3 week break between farmers markets and think there may be a few moments that I can catch for quilting before the dust settles on my project and summer eliminates the need for warmth. Just might be able to squeeze in a trip to Ballarat in Sept but I will keep you posted.
Never seen one of those machines; how does it work?
Love the half square triangle quilts and yours looks great. Just finished a top and it's at the quilter now. Will be posting a picture when it's done.
