Gee it's been cold here this week in Ballarat! There is forcast for snow here today so I will watch with anticipation from the warmth of my sewing room.
Despite the weather, my beautiful flowers are valiently smiling through. I just love seeing the water droplets on them.
This shot is for Lucy Lockett - who tells me her allotment is 2 miles away. This is a shot from my back door. I couldn't imagine having to travel to my garden. I have just let the chickens in my old vegi patch and planted up the other side of their house where they have been scratching and pooing for the last 2 years. My small contribution to the permaculture garden ideals.
Most mornings this week, the chook water and the bird baths in the garden have looked like this.
. . . now, back to the sewing machine - it's too cold outside today.

Hope you got lots of sewing done Annie. Love the pic's
Love the flowers and cupcakes.
It's August! It's supposed to be the height of summer here in the UK. I am finding it difficult to imagine snow and ice in August!
Beautiful phoographs especially the last one. I miss having ducks and chickens, but here in the town it's just not possible to do it properly in such a small area.
I feel that we've not had a proper Summer in the UK yet, and here you are with Wintery frozen water shots- so Christmassy!
I'm with you sitting the sewing room is the only sensible place to be in this cold weather.
Oh wow it sure has been cold here in Victoria
Alison
Brrrrr! And i thought it was cold here in Adelaide!Nothing like where you are!!Such beautiful photos as usual Annie-glad you got to hibernate in your sewing room!
Thanks for showing me your garden Annie - I grew up with a huge kitchen garden but at our house now we only have a small space and I had to resort to growing veg in raised beds in the front garden which caused a few raised eyebrows from the passers-by - in fact I think it was a bit of a local attraction!!! So I was delighted to get my allotment - shame it's so far away though!
Great snaps..... roll on summer.
Those photos of the pink daisys are just amazing! It has been freezing cold here too but no snow!!
