All in a day's work . . .

Australian Art and Craft Day at school last week, so I decided we would make a giant EMU
4 Grades worth of hands and some old tights
You just missed seeing them here, but I was wrapped with the pine cone toes we found in the carpark.  They were just the ticket for Emu toes.

Oh, you all did a wonderful job on the emu! Love those legs. Too bad we missed seeing the toes :)
I'll bet the kids had great fun with this project.
Your spring garden is looking lovely. My mum grew Jonquils (among tons of other things) and I loved them so much. I've never grown them here. I must see if I can find some!
Thanks for stopping by and for the welcome comment. Nice to 'meet' a fellow Aussie :)

Cool Emu. I bet the big kid had as much fun making it as the little ones did. Love the flowers - just wish my garden looked that good.

Annie - That is a cracking idea - I bet the kids loved making it - I would have! Although I would have been stuck there for a while trying to figure out which hand print was mine!..
Spring is coming! Days are warmer, longer and way more conducive to outside play. Peta

The emu is inspired. The tights give it that extra edge.
