Around the Block

Up late again last night and this morning another finish on the line
About 3 years ago I was in the Around the Block quilt swap, where we all made blocks for each other.  My theme was circles.  I still have all the warm colours to make another one, but at least the first one is now officially finished.  It was tricky putting it all together, but the hard work was already done.  I just had to FINISH IT!   Don't worry, I will be back to school next week and the UFO pile will breathe a sigh of relief from the crazy posessed woman who keeps diving into it!

My Crabapple Trees are blooming and are just glorious in the sunshine.  I had a lovely afternoon in the garden today.  Another perfect day with sunshine and singing canaries!
I made this sneaky little pincushion - saw something similar on one of the Blogtober Blogs (cant remember which one) FOUND IT and modified with what I had lying around my sewing room.  A little bit of gardeining in the sewing room.

If only holidays didn't have to end.... That's a very cute pincushion.

So so busy. You are going to run out of UFOs. The garden must have been lovely today.

I understand that frenzy that comes over some of us while we are on holiday and want to finish up as many projects as possible. We know it will be a long time before we have any large blocks of time to devote to that again.

Beautiful quilt and blossoms!

Dear Annie, as you seem to be making your UFO pile disappear could you please come over and help me with mine??!!

I love the pincushion! I'm a pincushion collector (of a few) and enjoy seeing pincushion creations. While you are enjoying your lovely spring, we up north are now enjoying the days of autumn. A good thing for both of us.

Love the pincushion, Annie, and the quilt. Well done you! No doubt you'll suffer from UFO-finishing withdrawal symptoms when you go back to school. Enjoy the last few days of freedom. Isn't it a great time in the garden; I'm still finding lovely surprises.

Oh, Annie, you are really getting a lot done! That always makes me happy. Your quilt is beautiful and I love the crabapple bloom. Pretty pincushion, too. Doesn't it just seem as if you HAVE to create sometimes?

Wow, the quilt is superb. Although I like the classic ones, a bit of modernity is very exciting.
The pincushion is cute, I bet you had a lot of fun sewing it.
