The neighbourhood children came over for the day on Tuesday, and we decided to have some sewing time together and make some Ric Rac Pickles.
Brooke is 10 and got a sewing machine for Christmas, so I told her to bring it over and we'd get it humming.
4 Children walked away at the end of the day, very pleased to have made their very own Pickle, and although I was tired, I had a sense of satisfaction, to be passing on a very loved skill of "making things!"
Today I've been working in my garden, and finished my new Keyhole garden path - thanks to the help of Mr Flowergardnen and Master Flowergarden.
I am so pleased with the result.
My Delphiniums are in full flower and just look beautiful.
This rose is called Ashram. It is special to me as a friend gave it to me when my Dad died 3 years ago. Each time it flowers, I have a quiet smile on my face. It lasts so long inside as a cut flower too, so just a great performer.

I am really wanting that Ashram rose. Apparently, it is sold under different names here in the USA. I love the name because my friends and I occasionally visits ashrams here in California. That color is certainly very prominent there.
I love that you are passing on your love of making to another generation, and that rose is gorgeous. I'd never heard of it before.
