Selvedge Quilts

I've been working on this one for awhile now.  I'm happy that it's finally starting to look like a finished quilt.  I'm handquilting it, but it's very hard to go through all the layers.

. . . and while I had selvedges on my mind, I made some coloured blocks and put them together and this little quilt top came into the world.

I thought it was a good way to start the school holidays.
I have 2 weeks now, to enjoy some sewing and gardening

I started piecing this bag pocket after seeing this great version of the
Amy Weekender
but I'm not convinced.  It's lots of my favourite bits of special fabric and daughter has already dibbed it my "bit sa bag"

I've done a little bit of wool playing too,

but
tomorrow I'm off to Eureka Patchwork as they are having an
END OF BOLT SALE

Oh, Annie, your selvedge quilt is just gorgeous! I am so impressed, and that you are hand quilting it is just that much more impressive. Gorgeous! And the other projects, too, are coming along nicely. Glad you'll be getting some "rest". :)

The selvedge quilt is amazing, but I like the colored blocks one very much: you have an eye for matching fabrics!
I wonder what you will come up with the appetizing wool.

Hi from AZ, USA [ex Aus]
I have been saving selvedges for years, making potholders [coveted by all who see them] & pin cushions but nothing larger. Now I have a huge bag of selvedges that are crying out to be used-I saw a spider web selvedge quilt using Bonnie Hunter's basic spider web tut that I think I might use.
Love selvedges!
